The Benefit of Living on Purpose

Can you remember a time when...

  • Everything seemed to work effortlessly?
  • There was great synchronicity in all you were doing?
  • Even challenges gave you satisfaction instead of strife?

There is a Way!

In the Zone

Our son, who played baseball throughout his youth, calls it "being in the zone." He said it was when he would step up to bat and everything would slow down...he could see the ball perfectly...he knew without a doubt that this time he could hit it over the fence...almost with ease. It was awesome!

Life In the Zone

Just as in athletics, life can be lived "in the zone." The power to live that kind of life comes when you find, know and live according to your God-given purpose.

The question

Are you living "On Purpose" or "Off Purpose"?

When you're living "Off Purpose"

You're seeking your own plans and direction vs. that which is God-given.
This leads to feelings of:

  1. Fatigue

    • Always tired because work seems too difficult
    • Pushing against the grain
    • Requires extra effort/energy
    • Lacks all passion
  2. Frustration

    • Every obstacle becomes a major problem
    • Nothing comes easily or smoothly
    • Large mental and emotional drain
    • Feeling "stuck" in life
  3. Fear

    • Everything is a challenge
    • Confidence and self-image are shaken
    • Afraid of what is coming next

When you're living "On Purpose"

You are living according to your God-given purpose and plan.
This leads to feelings of:

  1. Energy

    • Look forward to getting up each day
    • Challenges actually create energy and passion for life
  2. Power

    • Your "yes" will be yes and your "no" will be no
